The first ADR was created in 1927 to allow US investors to easily invest in a large UK retailer.

An ADR represents a certain amount of shares in a non-US company listed on a US stock exchange or available in the Over The Counter market. ADRs can allow for geographical diversification, access and availability, cost effectiveness, flexibility and peace of mind.


A World of ETFs

ETFs are investment vehicles that track established market indices sectors and international markets. They have characteristics of both ordinary stocks and mutual funds. Like mutual funds, ETFs enable investors to buy or sell shares of a basket of securities. Like shares, ETFs are listed on US stock exchanges with a unique symbol and can be traded at any time during US market hours.
