Step 1 - Complete Account Application and W-8BEN
Download and complete the following forms: Schwab One International Account Application US IRS Form W-8BEN (required for non-U.S. persons) IMPORTANT: Sign and date all completed forms, including W-8BEN. Forms cannot be processed without both signature and date. Depending on the products and services you would like to use in your account, you may need to submit one or more additional form(s).
Step 2 - Prepare Required Supporting Documents
Submit copies of supporting documents along with your account application forms. Please follow the required documentation checklist in the first two pages of the account application form when preparing your account application.
Step 3 - Fund Your Account
A minimum of US$10,000 is required to open a Schwab One International Account. Accounts can be funded by cheque (made payable to Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.), wire transfer, stock certificates or account transfer from another brokerage firm. For more information see Funding Your Account page.
Step 4 - Mail Your Completed Applications and Supporting Documents to Us
